As Director of Academics, Dr. P. Kannan provides insights and guidance to the Principal and the faculty related to academic activities in the college. Of particular interest to him are the following areas:
- Making sure every student gets an equal opportunity to learn.
- Creating an atmosphere where students enjoy the process of learning
- Improving the communication skills of students.
- Developing the overall personality of students.
- Making optimal use of available resources for the benefit of students.
- Using technology in teaching.
- Updating technical skills of the faculty.
- Providing mentorship for junior faculty members.
Dr. P. Kannan earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona, Arizona, USA. Additionally, he holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology, New York, USA, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from National Institute of Technology - Trichy (formerly, Regional Engineering College - Trichy).
