ADMISSION NORMS

The requisite educational qualification and age limit for admission into First year and Lateral Entry are as per rules of Government of Tamil Nadu/AICTE, New Delhi from time to time.

The admission for First year Diploma courses are limited to the sanctioned intake approved by the Tamilnadu Government/AICTE and the intake for the Second year Diploma course is restricted to 20% of the first year approved intake.

First year admission

The candidates who pass X std or equivalent examinations with Maths and science subjects are eligible for admission into First year Diploma Courses.

Lateral Entry Admission

The candidates who pass XII std - Academic/Vocational group and 10th Std with 2 Years ITI are eligible to join directly into Second year Diploma Courses.

Separate applications are prescribed for Special reservation under ex servicemen, differently abled and sports quota. The eligible candidates have to submit the application directly to the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai for admission.
